The Rechords are coming!! And other stuff…

August 10th from 6-30PM, you can catch The Lincolns, The Rechords, and DJ Midnight Rocker at Club West Lakes Bowling Club. Entry is just $15.00. It WILL be a great night, and one we’re really looking forward to. Check our Facebook event page for details.

It’s always an honour to share a bill with any of Australia’s top bands, and we’re lucky enough to have done it quite a few times now. Proud to say we’ve played with awesome home grown acts such as The Satellites, Lucky Seven, and The Saucermen… Interstate bands like  Atomic Hi-Tones, The Flattrakkers, Itchy Fingers, Pat Capocci, The Detonators, Sonyta and The Incinerators, and even international bands such as CC Jerome as well as The Go Getters. Adding The Rechords to that list is our pleasure and we’re extremely excited about it.

On to other stuff… We’re not long back from Echuca where we played as part of the July rock n roll festival. What a blast! It’s a great event and I highly recommend checking it out next year. The venue is great, and with shuttle buses running all night to take you to and from the venue to anywhere in the Echuca / Moama area, you can relax and have a few drinks knowing you can get homes safely. Cheers and beers to the organisers and everyone involved.

We seemed to go down very well to a superb crowd, and there’s been talk of ventures back into Victoria next year for The Lincolns, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed and hope to see our Victorian friends again next year.

That’s all for now, but I’ll have more details regarding August / September gigs and adventures coming soon… including details on the Victor Harbor festival.

Keep rocking good people

What’s on in July.

CD’s and T-shirts are selling well, so thank you all for your continued support. We’ve just got back from a great gig in Brisbane where we made some new friends and had a fantastic night with Breakaways Rock n Roll club. We’re hoping to get back there again some time in the future.

July 12th & 13th will see us in Echuca for the Rich River Rock n Roll Festival. We’re looking forward to the show, but not to the drive. It’s only 8 hours though right!!

When we get back from Echuca we’re down at the Bocce Club in McLaren Vale for the Pasta and Rock n Roll night with our good friend DJ Midnight Rocker. This will be a fun night. All you can eat Pasta followed by dancing to The Lincolns and DJ Midnight Rocker. All for just $25!

July 26th you can catch us at The Settlers with Legends Rock n Roll Club, then on Sunday 28th, come and enjoy the atmosphere at The Lord Exmouth, otherwise known as The Monkey Bar, from 4pm to 8pm. Always a great night there.

Don’t forget The Rechords are coming to town on August 10th. Book your tickets to ensure you don’t miss out. Details are on our Facebook events page. Hope to see you all there.

Lincolns CD’s out now!

Can you believe it? We can’t! After countless requests, we’ve finally done it. CD’s are now out and up for sale for $10.00

The CD’s have 14 tracks made up of 8 originals, and 6 covers, with 2 of the covers done acoustically for something a little different. The CD is called “Two Parts Whiskey” after our very first original song. All lyrics can be viewed on this website by clicking on the Lincolns Lyrics Tab on the above menu.

Special thanks to Virtual Visions for the front cover photo taken in Victor Harbour during the 2012 Rock n Roll Festival. Check out their site here http://www.virtualvisions.com.au

Keep rocking people… hope to see you all soon.

Cd’s and T-shirts… coming to a gig near you very soon

That’s right guys. The recording is done and we’re in mix down! I would expect we’re about 4 – 6 weeks away from having the finished product, but we’re looking forward to our first CD release. We’re flattered by the constant requests and hope you guys are happy with what we have put together for you.

On another note, and also due to popular demand, the t-shirts should be here in the next 2 weeks. I’ll update once I have them in my hot little hand.

Keep rockin folks!

What an amazing event! Thanks guys, what a great crowd you are. We loved every minute of our time on stage watching you guys rocking out! Would be great to do it all again one day. Thanks to all of you for sticking around until the end and making it a top finish to the day.

Rocking out to finish off a great day!

March Update

Well… I’m sitting here feeling a bit tired after watching Kitty Daisy and Lewis at The Gov last night. What an awesome show. It’s a great venue and I’m excited to say we’ll be playing there in May with Lucky 7 and Shades of Blue. It’s going to be a swing / rock n roll night not to be missed. Tickets will be available at Moshtix or at the Gov.

Another fast approaching night not to be missed is The Wanderers Car Club’s big night at The Port Dock Brewery on April 6th. Our good mate Charlie has put a lot of effort into getting this one off the ground and pre sales of tickets are thru the roof. I believe there will still be around 40 to 50 available at the door.

Check our event page either here on on Facebook for details.

Gig page updated.

Hey folks… the gig page has been updated. Sorry for being slack err… busy elsewhere, but I’ve finally got around to getting the page up and running again. Don’t forget to check our Facebook page for details, events, new pics etc.

What’s all this talk of a CD?

Well… Finally it looks like we’re going to hit the studio and put a CD together.  Studio time has been booked for early April, so fingers crossed for a release around June! Thanks so much to the countless people that have continually asked us to do it, we appreciate your kind words and support.
